About the Artist
MR Summerville got her first camera when she was five; it was love at first shutter click. In fifty years of making photos, she’s shot negatives and slides in formats from 8x10 inches down to 8x10 mm, in black-and-white and colour, and printed large-scale images using digital, conventional, and historical chemistries. At the dawn of the digital age, she worked as a compositor and retoucher for a stock agency and a digital restorer for Kodak. Today, her style uses minimal post-processing. She lives in rural southwest Ireland and someday hopes to do justice to its natural beauty.
